When children start to recognise simple Consonant Vowel Consonant (CVC) marks the start of literacy with grasp of phonics blending hence the start of independent reading. As such expanding the word bank of children from 3 letters word to 4 letters word and 5 letters word! The 5 slots frame works perfectly for English as well as Bahasa Malaysia!
Language literacy could go hand in hand with math literacy, plug in the numbers and the relevant symbols give you simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, greater/lesser.
Children below the age of 7 are having a hard time practicing grabbing pencils/pens but using fingers to trace gives them more control hence sparks greater interest into learning. With this thoughts we added in the sand tray to the word builder slot for tracing also space for putting objects to materialize the counting for math.
